If you’ve been in Springfield lately, you may have noticed a unique-looking little piece of rolling stock zipping up and down the streets. It’s called the “Kurrent” and the cute little people-movers are going to start showing up in front of quite a few houses. Mack Bissette, CEO of SRG Homes & Neighborhoods, owns the dealership rights for North Florida and is including one of the $10,000 all-electric “neighborhood vehicles” with every new home sold. He said the Kurrent is street legal as long as the posted speed limit is 35 mph or less. It plugs into a standard 110-volt outlet and has a 40-mile range at an average speed of 25 mph. “You’ve got to have some fun and I think this is the ultimate home accessory,” said Bissette.
