The City’s new Main Street Park is starting to look like a whole lot more than an empty parking lot. The three-quarter acre, $1.8 million park is just east of the Main Library and is scheduled to be completed in September. It will have plenty of open space, grass terraces and a courtyard. The park is being funded by three sources — a Florida Department of Transportation grant, the City’s Parks and Recreation Department and the City’s Tree Mitigation Fund.
