Construction of The St. John, a 51-story residential tower on Jacksonville’s Southbank, is on hold until real estate conditions in Northeast Florida are more favorable, according to the developer.

Hines Vice President Walter O’Shea and Sales Director Naomi Lumley will continue to oversee operations throughout the holding period. As the company awaits a more appropriate development timeline for The St. John, Hines will return deposits to homebuyers who have contracted to purchase a residence in the tower and will remain in contact with them and the more than 500 prospects that have shown an interest living there.
