• The wins keep racking up for students at Florida Coastal School of Law, who last weekend earned their second national championship at the Chicago Bar Association National Constitutional Law Moot Court Competition. The win marks Florida Coastal’s third major moot court victory this year and the third time in the last four years the school has been in the National finals. This year, oralists Jason Sexton and Amy Delauter and brief writer Drew Sutter topped teams from six other schools, including Pepperdine in the finals. A second Florida Coastal team made up of Tim Moss, Stephanie Tew and Lisa De Long advanced to the quarter-finals and won the second-best brief award. Both teams were coached by Professor Sander Moody and local attorney and alumnus Nick Martino.

• The Florida Coalition for Children will host its annual conference in Jacksonville today-Friday at the Hyatt. Hundreds of child welfare workers and advocates will focus on empowering children, families and communities. The conference is open to anyone involved or interested in the child welfare system. • Tiara Shoes & Accessories is celebrating its third anniversary this week. To celebrate, the Laura Street store will have refreshments and hors d’oeuvres and 30 percent off all purchases Thursday from 5-8 p.m.

• Re/Max Specialists will host the second annual Artists Making Miracles Art Show Friday and Saturday to benefit the Children’s Miracle Network. • The Florida First Coast Chapter of the Association of Fundraising Professionals is hosting a training workshop on fund-raising fundamentals Dec. 13 at the University Center at University of North Florida. The morning session will be geared towards those with five years or less experience, while the afternoon session will be for those with more than five years experience. Topics include major gift solicitation, special events, capital campaigns, stewardship and donor relations and board and volunteer development. • The Jacksonville Marine Association has hired JBM & Associates as the new producers of the 61st annual Jacksonville Boat Show to take place Feb. 8-10 at the Osborn Center. Organizers said the goal is to take a good show and make it a unique nautical experience for all ages with new exhibits, live entertainment and interactive demonstrations.
