CSX and City Year, a national service organization, recently joined forces in an effort to support Edward Waters College and its students. More than 260 volunteers made up of CSX employees, community members and City Year members worked together to landscape the school’s grounds. They created walking paths for students between classroom buildings, revitalized the student patio area, built community garden plots and created a cafe area for the students. “I appreciate the opportunity to give back in my hometown of Jacksonville by helping to make a difference at Edward Waters College,” said Michael Ward, CSX CEO, chairman and president.
