Just in time for Florida-Georgia weekend, the Landing is installing a 19-foot by 15-foot giant-screen television in the courtyard between Hooters and Vito’s restaurant. Unlike screens put up in the past, this one is a permanent addition and will also be used for Jaguars away games, the World Series and other sports events plus entertainment and promotions. It will endure the environmental conditions on the banks of the St. Johns River, but can be removed and safely stored if a hurricane is approaching. The support structure for the screen was also designed to not interfere with the placement of the Christmas tree that arrives each year just before Thanksgiving.
