State Rep. Stan Jordan is hosting a reception Thursday from 6-7 p.m. at WJCT to honor World War II veterans.
Jordan is the chairman of the Committee on Military and Veterans’ Affairs for the State’s House of Representatives.
“We are excited to be a co-sponsor of this event with WJCT Public Broadcasting,” said Jordan. “It is important to offer our sincere thanks to the World War II ‘Greatest Generation.’ Nationwide, we are losing over 1,800 World War II veterans each day.”
Following the reception, which includes food and World War II-era music, WJCT will offer a preview of “The War” — a documentary from filmmaker Ken Burns.
