Ron Chamblin spends several hours each day stocking the shelves at Chamblin’s Uptown on Laura Street. The used and rare book store is in the midst of a soft opening that will include on Friday the opening of the second floor, which will add another 5,000 square feet of books to the inventory. Chamblin said it will be a month or two before the Uptown store looks like his store on Roosevelt Boulevard. “But more books are arriving every day. We are shelving at least one truck load every day,” he said.
