The law firm of Camerlengo & Brockwell sponsored a blood drive to benefit The Blood Alliance Monday from 10 a.m-2 p.m. outside the firm’s Jacksonville offices. The blood drive was in response to the needs of the local Blood Alliance.
“We decided we need to act after hearing that The Blood Alliance is seeing critical blood shortages,” said attorney Joe Camerlengo (above), who is president-elect of the Jacksonville Bar Association. “These blood shortages are affecting patient care.”
According to the Blood Alliance, type O blood is in the most demand these days.
