Coastal Law student recognized

Florida Coastal School of Law student Justin McCarthy will be honored at this year’s annual meeting of the Florida Bar’s Environmental and Land Use Law Section for a paper he recently completed.

McCarthy’s paper, “The Water Wars Come East: Diverting the St. Johns River for Unsustainable Growth in Central Florida,” placed 2nd in the Florida Bar’s Environmental and Land Use Law Section’s Dean Frank E. Maloney Memorial Writing Contest. As one of the winners this year, he has been invited to join section members at the 2008 ELULS Annual Update, Aug. 21-23, at the Amelia Island Plantation. The awards luncheon is Aug. 22.
