The Jacksonville Bar Association has created a new mark of distinction within its membership.

The “100% Club” is a special category of membership that demonstrates a strong commitment to the legal profession and our community from law firms, law departments and legal organizations that enroll 100% of their attorneys as members of The Jacksonville Bar Association.

All members of the JBA “100% Club” will be recognized quarterly in The JBA Bulletin and at monthly membership meetings. This opportunity is open to small firms (two or more lawyers), large firms, in-house counsel, government departments and all members of the JBA and legal community.

If your firm or organization qualifies for the “100% Club” please contact the Bar office at 399-4486, so that your firm or organization can receive the recognition it deserves.

On behalf of the JBA, we would like to thank the following firms for showing their continuing commitment to the Association and the legal community as a whole by being part of the “100% Club.”

Special thanks to: Allen, Norton & Blue; Bachara Construction Law Group; Bedell, Dittmar, DeVault, Pillans & Coxe; Camerlengo & Brockwell; Coker, Schickel, Sorenson & Posgay; Cooke & Meux; Delegal Law Offices; Driver, McAfee, Griggs & Peek; Ford & Harrison; Holland & Knight; Liles, Gavin, Costantino & George; Magid & Williams; Marks Gray; Milam, Howard, Nicandri, Dees & Gillam; Murphy & Anderson; Rubin & Debski; Tanner & Bishop; Terrell Hogan; Thomas & Klink; and Zisser, Robison, Brown, Nowlis, Maciejewski & Cabrey.

Lend a Hand

Having read up to this point, you are not only an exceedingly tolerant person but you also qualify as someone who has the talent to advance this cause. To help, we ask that you ensure that your law firm, law department, or legal organization becomes part of the “100% Club.” (Sending witty explanations about the adverse economic conditions, bailout, losses in your 401K, etc. is disfavored.)

Here are some of the benefits offered to JBA members.

Membership offers an opportunity to be a part of something that is much bigger than one individual and consequently can, and does, make a substantial positive impact in the Jacksonville community. Being a member and actively taking part in the Association’s charitable works helps to ensure that Jacksonville citizens continue to think highly of the legal profession and fosters strong relationships within the Bar itself.

Other member benefits include the following:

• Bench and Bar Party (Annual cocktail party during the holiday season honoring the local judiciary — at no charge)

• Membership Luncheons (Luncheons throughout the year with keynote speakers — at no charge)

• Professional Directories (Available to members at no charge. Contact The Financial News & Daily Record at 356-2466)

Members discounts include the following: Brooks Brothers Apparel, Financial News & Daily Record, The Business Journal, ITC Deltacom (telecommunications and technology solutions), Jacksonville Symphony, JoS. A. Bank Apparel, Medical-Legal Remedies (Legal Nurse Consulting Services), PAYCOR (payroll processing company), and Veterinary Pet Insurance Company.

The Jacksonville Bar Association also offers CLE (Continuing Legal Education) Seminars. (Live CLE seminars with topics ranging from ethics to technology), conference space (Reserve space in the new JBA Office for mediations or depositions at a discounted rate for members), Lawyer Referral Service (assist the public in finding lawyers practicing in specific areas of the law and to assist members in expanding their client base.)

For more information, please visit the following Web address, www.jaxbar.org, where prospective members may fill out a membership application and pay the membership fee online.

Happy Holidays!
