NEFBA goes to D.C.

A delegation from the Northeast Florida Builders Association participated in a national homebuilders’ one-day visit to Congressional leaders in Washington to discuss issues facing the industry.

From NEFBA were President Mark Downing, incoming president Glenn Layton, secretary/treasurer Andy Chambers, and past presidents Jerry Linder and Bryan Lendry.

Also on the trip were Executive Vice President Daniel Davis and the association’s governmental affairs director, Corey Deal.

Downing lead a series of meetings starting at Florida Sen. Mel Martinez’s office and ending with a 45 minute meeting with Senator Christopher Dodd of Connecticut, who chairs the powerful Banking, Housing and Urban Affairs committee.
