City 'FINDs' money from State

No one from the City actually found a bag of money from the State, but City Council member and Jacksonville Waterways Commission Chair Bill Bishop (right) did accept a check for $1.39 million from the Florida Inland Navigation District during Thursday’s Waterways meeting. FIND Chair Michael Mesiano (left) presented the check to Bishop, which was reimbursement for four waterways-related projects the City paid for and completed this year. “This represents the efforts of the City,” said Mesiano, Duval County’s FIND representative. Also on hand was FIND Assistant Executive Director Mark Crosley.
