The chief executives of Jacksonville’s six largest healthcare providers were part of a healthcare symposium at Tuesday’s Jacksonville Regional Chamber of Commerce Cornerstone luncheon. From left: Scott Whalen from St. Vincent’s HealthCare, Doug Baer from Brooks Health System, James Wood from Memorial Health, Dr. William Rupp from Mayo Clinic, James Burkhart from Shands Jacksonville, Hugh Greene from Baptist Health and Ron Autrey, 2008 Chamber chair. The hospitals were recognized for their $23 billion annual economic impact in Northeast Florida, including $7 billion in capital improvements in 2007.
