• New calendars will soon be unwrapped and though we haven’t reached the new year quite yet, it’s never too early to start planning for Law Week. “Law for the Public” seminars have been scheduled with the support of Florida Coastal School of Law and Jacksonville Area Legal Aid. Giselle Carson will host a seminar on naturalization May 19. Robert Wilbert of JALA will present a bankruptcy seminar May 21. Laura Boeckman will hold a clinic on consumer’s rights and foreclosures May 26. Paola Parra will present a clinic on family law May 28. They will be held at FCSL from 6:30-7:30 p.m.

• Speaking of Law Week, the Jacksonville Bar Association plans to organize a charitable kickoff event for Law Week, which actually encompasses most of a month. Shea Moser and Fraz Ahmed have begun to develop plans for the event and initial plans are for the event to take place at River City Brewing Company. For more information contact Ahmed at [email protected].
