The Northeast Florida Builders Association was in the top five out of the 28 other builders associations in each membership category in Florida during a recent national membership drive.

Florida led the nation in “The Big Hunt” with 912 members of 6,939 nationally. NEFBA signed up 61 new members, 37 new Sales and Marketing Council members and seven new Remodelers Council members to rank in the top 20.

The top NEFBA team included the board of director participants — Bill Jackman, Jeff Zimmerman, Pud English, Penelope Geismar, Glenn Layton, Mark Downing, Tim Adkinson, Andy Chambers and Peggy West. The top recruiter from the board of directors team was Chambers.

Engle Homes’ team was next with Michael Mitchell, Marie Griffith and Bill Cellar.

Nationally, North Carolina came in second with 632 members. Texas and Wisconsin came in third and fourth.
