Rolling Hills starts center

Construction is well underway on Rolling Hills at Lake Asbury’s new $5 million amenity center. Located in The 562-acre master planned community in Clay County is being developed by East West Partners.

With plans for a May 2009 opening, the center - designed by Basham & Lucas Design Group, Inc. and built by Michael G. Holder Inc. - will include a two-story residents club with an adult leisure room, fitness facilities, an Internet center and a kids’ activities club. The first floor connects to a “super” pool with a slide and a splash pool with an extensive interactive water feature.

Other facilities include miniature golf with a winding river, an outdoor party pavilion, six tennis courts and an outdoor amphitheater pavilion.

A full-time recreation staff, including a social director and tennis pro, will oversee year-round activities.
