Ten attorneys from the 4th Judicial Circuit will be among 178 attorneys honored by The Florida Bar Friday for 50 years of dedication to the practice of law.
The attorneys are: Bill Basford Jr., Jim Cobb, Charles Franson, Robert Gobelman, Donald Lunny, Albert Millar Jr., John Mooers, William D. Moore and Jack Shorstein.
Their service to the profession will be acknowledged during a luncheon at The Florida Bar’s Annual Convention, being held Thursday through Sunday at the Boca Raton Resort & Club. To be recognized, attorneys must be members in good standing of The Florida Bar and attain their 50th anniversary of admittance to the practice of law in Florida in 2008.
One additional attorney, Joseph Meux, will be honored as a Senior Counselor. He has practiced law for 50 years but has not been a member of The Florida Bar for that entire period.
The luncheon honoring the 50-year members is being sponsored by The Florida Bar’s Young Lawyers Division and is at 12:30 p.m. Russell Troutman, a 50-year honoree and president of The Florida Bar in 1977, will be the featured speaker.
