Books have been on the shelves for several weeks and now the coffee cafe is also up and running at Chamblin’s Uptown on Laura Street. Alicia Johnson brewed the first official pot Monday morning. The shop is serving Green Mountain Coffee Roasters which she said uses coffee beans grown in free trade countries, then roasts and grinds the coffee in Vermont. The cups are even eco-friendly made of 100-percent biodegradable corn-based products. The cafe’s hours are the same as the bookstore’s: 9 a.m.- 5 p.m. Monday-Saturday and 11 a.m.-5 p.m. Sunday.
