The Statewide Nominating Committee for Judges of Compensation Claims (SNCJCC) will meet April 25 at 9 a.m. at the Hyatt Regency Orlando International Airport, 9300 Airport Blvd., Orlando, FL 32827, for the purpose of interviewing judges for reappointment.
Those compensation claims judges include Ellen H. Lorenzen, Robert D. McAliley, Charles M. Hill, Gerardo Castiello and W. James Condry.
Those who wish to speak at the committee meeting must provide notice to the committee chairman and each committee member in writing no later than April 9. The letter should include intention to address the committee and a brief explanation regarding the request. Those who wish to present any documents in support of their appearance before the committee must provide copies to the committee chairman and all committee members by April 9.
A listing of SNCJCC members is provided on the Division of Administrative Hearings (DOAH) Web site, www.doah.state.fl.us, and the Florida Bar Web site, www.floridabar.org.
The committee will not take any requests for personal appearances to speak in favor of any of the above sitting judges. However, the committee will accept letters in support of the current judges in lieu of personal appearances.
