New ALA board

The Jacksonville Chapter of the Association of Legal Administrators recently installed its new board of directors. The 2008-09 board consists of President Alice Robision of Volpe, Bajalia, Wickes, Rogerson & Wachs, PA; President-Elect Jean Pimental of Office of General Counsel; Vice President Elizabeth Locke of Smith, Gambrell & Russell, LLP; Secretary Helen Westbrook of Gobelman, Love, Gavin, Wasilenko & Broughan, LLC and Treasurer Lucy McKay of Cole, Stone, Stoudemire & Morgan, PA.

The ALA meets monthly at various offices of its members. Westbrook said the organization holds three bigger meetings a year during which they also invite office managers and partners. According to Westbrook, the ALA’s objective is to educate legal administrators to become better legal administrators and provide a networking opportunity.
