This week’s Art Walk at Hemming Plaza had a 1950s theme complete with hot rods and “Luckie’s Ladies” like “Marilyn” (above). The celebration of horsepower and hair power was sponsored by George Wolfe, owner of Lucky’s Classic Cuts barber shop at The Carling. After the artists packed up their easels for the night, the hot rods cranked up and cruised around the corner to Sideline Deli on Adams Street for an after-Art Walk VIP Party. Sideline owner Sean Farah said about 250 people showed up by 10 p.m. and cars were parked on both sides of the street for blocks. “It was a great crowd but the kegs sure floated quick,” he added.
