Mayor John Peyton (right) rode the City’s float and waved to people who lined the streets Downtown Tuesday for the annual Veterans Day Parade. This year’s theme was “Forever Grateful” and that sentiment was symbolized by thousands of spectators who formed a line on both sides of the parade route from Riverside Avenue to Jacksonville Municipal Stadium. This year’s procession included more than 100 units and more than 3,000 parade participants who took almost two hours to complete the route from start to finish.
