After eight years, Realty Executives of Jacksonville closed earlier this month.
“I gave the agents plenty of notice,” said broker Gary Harlow. “I told everyone that I was closing down and that I wanted to help facilitate the transfer of the listings.”
Harlow is unsure of his future.
“I don’t know where I’m going yet,” he said. “I don’t want to be an agent. I had the company for a long time. I have spent the last eight years gathering information that I can put to use. It would be a better return on that training investment if I went to work for a larger company.”
Harlow said all of his office equipment is currently at his house.
“My wife is not happy,” he joked. “I have my garage half full with furniture.”
