The Sales and Marketing Council has lowered prices across the board for the 29th annual Realtor Builder Tradeshow.
Booth sales, sponsorship and tickets all are at lower rates than in the past for the show, to be held Oct. 30 at the Osborn Center in Jacksonville.
Booths will be $600 and the price goes to $700 after Oct. 1. Tickets are $10 and the price will double after Oct. 20.
“We are doing a couple of things differently this year to make sure that we have a large turnout,” said Amanda Randolph, the SMC director.
Tickets last year were $40 and included a buffet luncheon. The SMC this year is soliciting vendors to provide free food.
The Council is pushing its “carnival” theme.
“Around the globe from Italy to Trinidad to New Orleans, there is a tradition of throwing a fête — a party or Carnivàle — to celebrate the end of a fast,” said Alayna Oram, the SMC chairperson. “This past year, our real estate market has survived through some very lean times. We believe those times are coming to an end, and now it’s time to celebrate at our own Carnivàle.”
Randolph expects over 100 booths for the 9 a.m.-3 p.m. event.
Booths and sponsorship sales are being handled by the Northeast Florida Builders Association, and ticket sales are through the Northeast Florida Association of Realtors.
Sponsors who have signed up so far include Homes and Land Magazine, Bailey Publishing, The Florida Times-Union, NEFAR News, Bildor News, Jacksonville Homebuyer, DiscoverTec, National City Mortgage, McGarvey Residential Communities, LAB Homes, David Weekley Homes, Bank of America, ICI Homes, Nocatee, Community First Credit Union, Crosswinds, Redd Wolf Erosion Control, Orchard Management, TS Dennis Construction, Collins Builders, CornerStone Homes, JDB Homes, Mattamy Homes, Engle Homes, Clearwire and Beazer Homes.
