Community Involvement: Past-president of Rotary Club of West Jacksonville; Past board member of ARC of Jacksonville, Board of Governors — Jacksonville Regional Chamber of Commerce. Recently, the majority of my time has been spent in voluntary work for the Jacksonville Regional Chamber of Commerce in which I served as General Counsel last year and now on the Board of Governors. I am also active in providing pro bono advice in these difficult economic times to many charitable and civic organizations, particularly the Cummer Museum of Art and Gardens.
How did you get involved?
I started working on lower level committees at the Chamber and graduated up to the Board of Governors, and finally to General Counsel.
How can someone else get involved?
Get involved in committee work and work your way up, just like I did.
What have you learned/achieved through the experience?
Learning how cooperation between business groups and government and business leaders can improve the quality of life in Northeast Florida.
