The Jacksonville Women Lawyers Association approved its new executive board at its April 8 meeting at River City Brewing Company.
Mary Scott will succeed Anita Pryor as president and Lindsay Tygart was appointed president-elect.
As the board looks forward to upcoming events, it will be accepting nominations for “Female Lawyer of the Year,” which will be awarded at the judicial reception in the fall. Suggestions can be sent to Pryor at [email protected]. JWLA is also accepting donations for Community Connections. The organization is looking for gift cards or other donations as Mother’s Day gifts for mothers who are clients at Community Connections.
Bethany Crawley was the guest speaker at the April luncheon, and the retired attorney talked about the “life-altering benefits” of managing stress through yoga. Crawley is a yoga instructor with Lotus Yoga on Stockton Street in Riverside.
