The historic Ambassador Hotel that sits on the corner of Church and Julia streets is patiently waiting to be renovated. The renovations are said to begin in either late September or early October.

• Construction is said to last for 12 months

• The Ambassador will consist of 50 residential units and 80 hotel rooms

• Features of The Ambassador include: one small convenience store, a cafe, a clubhouse and fitness center for tenants and one major restaurant. Lamonte Carter, director of Oasis Venture Group, the company doing the renovations, says the restaurant is likely to be some sort of entertainment venue with a sports bar as well.
