In May, First Guaranty Bank & Trust Company held its second annual art show benefiting Patrons of the Hearts, a nonprofit organization that supports children suffering from heart disease.
Featuring the work of seven artists who are clients of the bank, 5 percent of proceeds from sales went to the charity and were matched by First Guaranty Bank. So far, the charity has received $1,000. Pictured are artist John Bunker, whose work appeared in the show, Hilda Ettedgui, cofounder of Patrons of the Hearts, Mary Biggs Knauer, senior vice president of First Guaranty’s Trust Department and Don Roberts, First Guaranty’s president.
“We are thrilled to partner with area artists to benefit this wonderful charity; strengthening community relationships is what our hometown bank is all about,” said Roberts.
Some of the art from the show is now on display at First Guaranty Bank’s main office located at 1234 King Street, including paintings by local artists Leigh Murphy and Diane Fraser. The art is available for sale, with proceeds going to Patron of the Hearts. For more information call 301-2000.
