The Jaguars played their first game Aug. 18, 1995 in what was then, “Alltel Stadium.” Sept. 3, 1995. Right before the Jaguars kicked off their first regular season game, NBC broadcaster Don Criqui was quoted as saying, “There isn’t a better football facility in America.” To stay up-to-date the stadium has undergone $63 million in renovations and is now called, “Jacksonville Municipal Stadium.”
