The centerpiece of the holiday decorations at Independent Square is the Christmas tree in the atrium. There’s more to the story than meets the eye in terms of the decorations. Since a ladder wasn’t an option and there’s no way to get a hydraulic lift into the building, the decorations near the top were placed by a brave soul who climbed up inside the 24-foot-tall tree to hang the ornaments.
