The Laurel Awards, considered the most prestigious awards for real estate and builders In this area, have gotten too successful.
The sheer number of awards - over 60 each year - have brought a change by the sponsoring Sales and Marketing Council and now there will be separate award ceremonies annually.
The production awards will be first and the awards will be presented in February. Then will come the marketing and design awards, which will be presented in July.
There are 12 Production award categories and en tries in each are $30 with an early deadline of January 15 and a late deadline - and a $10 extra charge - of January 29.
The awards will be presented February 5 at a breakfast at the University of North Florida’s University Center. The breakfast will have the theme of “There’s No Business Like Show Business.”
The production categories are for top producers in 10 categories and closed dollar volume leaders in two categories.
Entry information on the marketing and design will be released later.
