This coquina monument marks the spot where the Apalache Trail and The Kings Road met, thus connecting the English colonies and the Spanish Trail to St. Augustine. The roadways joined in the late 1700s when the British had a great presence in Florida. The monument was dedicated by the Daughters of the American Revolution in 1928.
