Attorneys who achieve 50 years in the practice of law, even if they spent part of their careers in other states, can be recognized for their dedication and service to the profession as senior counselors of The Florida Bar.

For the fourth year, The Florida Bar will recognize veteran lawyers during a special luncheon at the Bar’s Annual Meeting on June 26 at the Orlando Marriott World Center. Both 50-year members and senior counselor awards will be given at the luncheon.

The program recognizes Bar members with 50 active years of practice in any state. Bar members who have practiced law for a minimum of 50 years of bar membership(s) regardless of the state(s) and are now a Florida Bar member, are eligible (new). You must not have previously been recognized by The Florida Bar for this accomplishment. Participants must write a letter stating their request to be considered for a 50-year senior counselor award and include a list of all bar memberships held with both start and end dates (if applicable) indicated. The cumulative 50 years in legal practice must have been completed by Jan. 1 for this year’s honors.

Letters should be addressed to: 50-Year Senior Counselor Award, attention Dana Larichiuta, The Florida Bar, 651 East Jefferson St., Tallahassee 32399, and must be received no later than March 31. For more information, contact Larichiuta at (800)-342-8060, ext. 5767 or e-mail [email protected].
