Watson Realty’s Wendell Davis will be formally installed as president-elect of the Florida Association of Realtors at the association’s banquet on Jan. 24 at the Renaissance Orlando Resort in Orlando.
The banquet, where Orlando’s Cynthia Shelton will be installed as the 2009 president, is part of FAR’s Mid-Winter Business Meeting. A separate banquet on Jan. 22 will feature installation of Women’s Council of Realtors officers, and FAR board members and district vice presidents.
The meeting starts Jan. 21 and includes business meetings and educational seminars.
The meeting also will serve as a memorial to 2008 President Charles Joseph “Chuck” Bonfiglio Sr., who died last month of cancer at his Pembroke Pines home.
He was the broker-owner of Century 21 AAA Realty Inc. in Cooper City, and was the 2004 president of the Realtor Association of Greater Fort Lauderdale.
He was involved in numerous charitable affairs and, in 2006, he received the Humanitarian of the Year Award from FAR.
