Lunch dates with history

Around 50 people, many City employees with lunch in hand, took in President Barack Obama’s inauguration Tuesday in the Lynwood Roberts Room at City Hall. The ceremony was shown on the big screen(above), with attendees giving ovations on several occasions. Elsewhere, all of the Landing’s restaurants were showing the ceremony, while Jacksonville Symphony’s Orchestra’s “Young People’s Concert” paused at noon for an audio feed of the ceremony for the attending children to sing “America the Beautiful” in unison with the musicians.
