• Speaking of Council, member Kevin Hyde will preside over a second foreclosure summit next Tuesday at the Main Library in the multipurpose room. Hyde has invited local elected officials and judges, those who participated in the first summit and those who are stakeholders in the foreclosure crisis. It’s from 3-5 p.m. and the summit is open to the public.
• The City of Jacksonville in cooperation with the Duval County Council on Elder Affairs will host a legislative forum for people 60 years of age and older Thursday at 10 a.m. also at the Main Library. Members of the Duval Delegation have been invited to hear issues and comments facing senior citizens and Lori Parham, state director of the AARP, will be the keynote speaker. Registration will begin at 9:30 a.m. After the forum, lunch will be served followed by a tour of the library. Admission is free, but reservations are required and can be made by calling 630-7392.
• Graham & Company is the new commercial leasing/sales agent for the Greenleaf Building at the corner of Laura and Adams streets. The company’s offices are on Salisbury Road.
• Speaking of Laura and Adams, a company called printing.com is renovating the space formerly occupied by Bread & Butter Cafe. A sign says the store will be open by spring.
