The Jaguars new General Manager and Sr. Vice President, Player Personnel Gene Smith sat down with the media to talk about his new role with the organization. Some of his responsibilities will include setting proper market value on players and roster evaluation, which makes him responsible for maintaining the proper roster levels. He is one of 15 staff members who joined the franchise in 1994. “Character counts. I want kids to know that, high school players to know that and college players to know that. That’s what this team is going to be about,” said Smith.
