The annual tradition of the Special Olympics of Duval County’s Summer Games continued at The Bolles School Feb. 28 and the event coincided with another tradition.

Members of the Young Lawyers Section of the Jacksonville Bar Association have been volunteering their support for the event for close to 20 years. The games featured soccer skills, team soccer and a total of 35 different athletic events for people with intellectual disabilities age eight or older. The games featured 325 athletes. Young Lawyers members Michael Orr, Michelle Bedoya Burnett, Jessica Demuth, B.J. Taylor, Maureen Murray and Brad Blair helped organize the softball/tennis ball throw.
