Delaney happy with session thus far

University of North Florida President and former Mayor John Delaney was in Tallahassee Wednesday, but it’s not the first time during the current legislative session. Delaney has served as interim chancellor for the State University System of Florida to help represent all of the 11 schools’ interests during such sessions. But how are things going for higher education thus far? “Things are going very well in light of this harsh budget time,” said Delaney. “They (legislators) have treated the higher education system quite well, because I think everyone realizes its importance.” Moving toward the second half of the session, Delaney said he hoped to see continued success.
