A courtroom can be an intimidating place for new lawyers, so the Jacksonville Bar Association’s Young Lawyers Section has developed a judicial breakfast program to help familiarize them with the judges they may appear in front of at some point in time.
Fourth Judicial Circuit Chief Judge Donald Moran donated his chambers as the setting for the breakfast with circuit court civil judges Wednesday at the Duval County Courthouse. Circuit Court Judges Peter Fryefield, Haldane Taylor and Waddell Wallace met with a group of about 20 Young Lawyers Wednesday.
The event provides a social atmosphere for lawyers to get to know and ask questions of area judges.
The next breakfast is scheduled for June 24 and will host Family, Probate and Juvenile division judges at 8 a.m.
