Dist. 6 City Council member Jack Webb throws the ceremonial first pitch at one of the four new softball fields at Palmetto Leaves Regional Park on Greenland Road in Mandarin Wednesday. Phase II of the 326-acre park included the ball fields with a concession and utility building, a playground and picnic canopy. Webb was joined by Mayor John Peyton, City Department of Recreation and Community Service Director Roslyn Phillips, former Council member Dick Kravitz and Dan Morrow of The Trust for Public Land to celebrate the development of the park.
