The Statewide Nominating Committee for Judges of Compensation Claims (SNCJCC) will meet June 29 at 9 a.m. at the Hyatt Regency Orlando International Airport, 9300 Airport Blvd., for the purpose of interviewing prospective applicants/candidates for nomination as Judge of Compensation Claims for the Jacksonville District (term to commence upon gubernatorial appointment). Applications for consideration for this judicial vacancy are due by 5 p.m. June 22 in writing (faxed or e-mailed applications will not be accepted). An original application and a copy shall be provided to the chair, with individual copies to be mailed to each commission member. The application for appointment may be obtained from the OJCC Web site (www.fljcc.org).

Please be advised that if you wish to speak at the commission meeting in opposition to a prospective applicant, notice must be provided in writing to the commission chairman and each commission member no later than June 22 at 5 p.m. Eastern Standard Time. Your letter should include your intention to address the commission and a brief explanation as to why the commission should not consider the applicant/candidate for the position of Judge of Compensation Claims. If you wish to present any documents in support of your appearance before the commission, copies must be provided to the commission chairman and all commission members in writing by June 22 at 5 p.m. Eastern Standard Time. The commission will not grant any requests for personal appearances to speak in favor of any of the prospective applicants. However, the commission will accept letters in support of the applicants for the position of Judge of Compensation Claims in lieu of personal appearances.
