MOB takes over Metro park

Former Mayor Jake Godbold was one of a handful of speakers at Jacksonville’s “Mayor’s Older Buddies (MOB)” party at Metropolitan Park Tuesday. Godbold was the creator of the program in Jacksonville, which brings elder citizens together for food and fellowship, and the program was resurrected by Mayor John Peyton. U.S. Rep. Ander Crenshaw and Ret. Air Force Master Sergeant Any Ramotnik also spoke at the event, which was both a celebration of the senior citizens of Jacksonville and the U.S. Military.
