The Young Lawyers Section of The Jacksonville Bar hosted its Fall Judicial Breakfast event Thursday at the Courthouse with around around 20 members of the section and several judges participating.
The biannual event, held in the spring and fall, lets young lawyers and judges of the Fourth Judicial Circuit to get to know one another a little better. The face time helps newer lawyers get to know the judges who will preside over their cases and overall become better acquainted.
“It’s really just a great opportunity to come and meet the judges and other young lawyers,” said Elizabeth Howard of Rogers Towers and YLS secretary. “It’s hard for them (young lawyers).”
“I’m always glad to meet young lawyers,” said Circuit Court Judge Charles Arnold, grinning. “They always have more energy ... and it reminds us of when we (judges) were young and starting out.”
