Toyota used Downtown as a backdrop last week to promote its line of gasoline-electric hybrid vehicles and ways to go “green” in general. The nationwide “Farm to Table” tour only stops at farmer’s markets and last week it was part of the Friday Market at Hemming Plaza and the Riverside Arts Market on Saturday. At both locations, people who took a test drive received a free herb plant. Amy Howle (left) was giving them away at Hemming Plaza.
“We also make a donation to each market where the tour stops and we buy the herbs from local farmers,” said Edward Rodriguez, tour coordinator.
