Next month, Florida Coastal School of Law and Jacksonville University will co-host the 11th Annual Northeast Florida Environmental Summit at the Coastal Law campus on Baypine Road.

Set for Nov. 12, this year’s theme is “Growing Green: Developing a Sustainable Florida” and features local experts and many from around the state and country. Jacksonville Port Authority CEO Rick Ferrin is one of the scheduled speakers during the summit that runs from 8 a.m.-6 p.m. and includes four panel sessions and a reception afterwards.

Throughout the day, the panelists will provide scientific, legal and policy perspectives on developing a sustainable Florida through green efforts. The discussions will include, but aren’t limited to, land use, environmental justice, agriculture and forestry, transportation and biodiversity and ecosystems.
