The Sulzbacher Center will host its 11th annual Transformations event Thursday at the Hyatt. The theme of this year’s event is “The Way Home” and Linda and Michael Lanier are the event chairs. Mayor John Peyton and former mayors Ed Austin and John Delaney are honorary chairs and the Sulzbacher Center will be highlighting the City’s steadfast support for the Sulzbacher Center.

The event begins with a river deck reception at 5:30 p.m. sponsored by the Hyatt. There will be live music, food and drink, and an opportunity to bid on a wide array of silent auction packages. At 7:30, a tribute performance, emceed by Deborah Gianoulis Heald, will celebrate the transformation of individuals and families as they share their stories of struggling with homelessness and finding the way home.

Tickets and Sponsorships are available online at www.transformations2009.org and at the event.

The Sulzbacher Center provides the opportunity for homeless men, women and children to achieve a better life. The center’s comprehensive services include street outreach, daily meals, safe shelter, case management support, job placement assistance, medical, dental, and mental health care as well as scattered-site housing. Every day, the Sulzbacher Center is home to more than three hundred homeless members of our community — many of whom are children. For more information, visit www.sulzbachercenter.org.
