'Opportunity,' says Barton to WCR

“It will be a slow comeback,” says the City of Jacksonville’s development leader, but don’t worry: “The quality of life here drives our engine.”

Ron Barton is the executive director of the Jacksonville Economic Development Commission, the government office that lures business to North Florida. He spoke at last month’s meeting of the Women’s Council of Realtors.

“These times mean opportunity because more people are looking for a better place to have their companies,” he said. “We have a great quality of life to sell. I’ll put us up against anyone.”
