First Guaranty Bank has teamed up with Second Harvest Food Bank to launch a two-week food drive that ends this week to raise awareness for the fight against hunger during Hunger Action Month.

“We are proud to support such a worthwhile cause that will help members of our community,” said Kevin Cannon, executive vice president of First Guaranty Bank. “Hunger impacts so many people around us and even more so during these difficult economic times,” he said.

Nonperishable food items can be dropped off at any of First Guaranty Bank’s eight locations through Friday during normal business hours.

Several First Guaranty employees recently volunteered at Second Harvest where they sorted and stocked food.
